Free lead testing supplies and trainings
The state of Michigan's Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program has enough funding for one more year. Take advantage of the following FREE resources while they are still available!
- Free capillary blood lead testing kits. Contact Tom Mainland at the MDCH Lab (517 335-9639). Use code 83655 to cover costs associated with analysis of the results.
- Free lead poisoning reminder postcards.
- A trainer from the state can visit practices and train staff on how to conduct capillary blood lead tests, free of charge. CEUs are available for participating staff.
