PIP 2011

2011 marks the 13th year of PIP — Priority Health’s physician incentive program.

The PIP program provides financial incentives for excellent health care outcomes, improved infrastructure and added efficiencies within your practice.

In 2011, we’ve revised past measures, added new measures and implemented new incentives for infrastructure. One valuable change is PIP’s increased support of Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) initiatives. PIP is designed to financially support practices beginning PCMH work as well as those that have achieved recognition through governing bodies, such as NCQA, BCBS PGIP PCMH and URAC.

Measure changes in 2011 include:

  • Childhood Immunizations — revised with addition of combination 10 vaccine series
  • Adolescent Immunizations — new
  • Diabetes Care: Controlled Blood Pressure — revised with change in blood pressure to <140/80
  • Chronic Kidney Disease — new
  • Asthma Care Management — new
  • Asthma Medication Management — retired
  • Care Coordination — new
  • PCMH Recognition — new
  • Follow-up PCP Visits Post-Hospital Discharge — new
  • ED Visits: PCP Treatable Care — new
  • ED Visits per Thousand Members — retired
