Reimbursement reform related to implementing PCMH initiatives

Priority Health supports the PCMH model for changing reimbursement, including:
  • Payment for services (capitation and fee-for-service)
  • Payment for performance (quality and efficiency)
  • Infrastructure support (fixed payment per patient based on level of achievement toward NCQA PPC-PCMH recognition, grants program)

Priority Health supports the NCQA PPC-PCMH recognition

We're pleased to continue to support advancements in primary care in 2010 and plan to reward practices that have been recognized by the NCQA with PPC-PCMH status. Based on recognition tier we'll pay $1, $2 or $3 pmpm for up to 12 months (fully funded commercial members only).

Funding for this additional pmpm payment is limited. We're considering offering this additional payment to practices that receive NCQA PPC-PCMH recognition by Dec. 31, 2010.
