Dual payments error impacts July payments

(June 14, 2011)

We've been overpaying capitation some of the time when a member selects a new PCP. Instead of paying only the new PCP, the system was paying both the new PCP and the old PCP. This issue began after a system upgrade on Sept. 6, 2010.

We've fixed the problem, and all July 2011 capitation will be calculated and paid correctly. Applicable overpayments will be subtracted from the July 2011 payments. Specific member reports related to this overpayment issue are available upon request.
