More improvements to the Auth Inquiry tool

(February 22, 2010) Effective Wed., March 10, the Auth Request portion of our online Authorizations tool will be removed. This section of the tool was not available to many providers and was problematic to others.

Many services no longer need authorization

We removed authorization requirements of many services over the years. A complete listing of services and their auth requirements is available in our provider manual.

Using the Auth Inquiry tool

To expedite your authorization requests and avoid confusion, the Authorizations tool will now be solely for authorization inquiries. Through Auth Inquiry you can:
  • Check the status of an authorization requests
  • See a detailed report on your request
  • PCPs can view authorizations associated with your Priority Health patients

Reminder of January improvements to Auth Inquiry

  • We greatly improved the speed of the tool.
  • ASO and PPO member authorizations are available through this tool.
  • PCPs can now see all authorizations for their Priority Health patients. The PCP does not need to be providing the service in order to view the auth information.
  • Requesting provider and facility information is now included in the auth detail.

We are continuously working to improve the functionality of our online tools. If you discover something you'd like to see added or improved with any of our tools, please let your provider account representative know.
