Shared funding: Provider information

What is shared funding?
Shared funding plans are an option that mid-to-large employers can use to fund their health benefits with Priority Health. Currently we have some large employer groups who have elected a shared funding plan for 2009. As a result, you may notice more patients with this type of plan.

What you should know about shared funding:
  • Shared funding plans are tied to our PPO provider contracts.
  • The management fee providers receive for those members who are required to select a primary care physician is $1.50 pmpm. This is the same as self-funded. You will receive a separate capitation check for your shared funding patients.
  • Members with a shared funding plan will be included in your ASO/PPO PIP measures.
  • Plans available as shared funding include – PriorityPPOSM, PriorityEPOSM, PriorityPOSSM, HealthbyChoiceSM Incentives and PriorityHSASM.
