Shared decision-making
Shared decision-making is the process of information sharing between a patient and physician that includes diagnosis, treatment options, and the benefits and risks of those options. At the Spine Centers of Excellence, patients share with their doctor in the decision-making about their treatment. When considering treatment options, the patient's values and goals are taken into account.
