(GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – October 3, 2005)
Priority Health, one of the largest health plans in Michigan, has received state approval to expand into the greater Saginaw area. It recently added health care providers from Covenant Healthcare and St. Mary’s Medical Center of Michigan.

“Priority Health is a growing health plan with a proven history of providing employers with excellent and affordable health and wellness solutions,” said Kim Horn, president and CEO of Priority Health. “We are excited to offer employers even more options to provide employees excellent benefits.”

Priority Health is scheduled to open its Saginaw office in November. The office will house Priority Health’s Saginaw-area customer service, sales and provider relations staff.

“Saginaw can expect to receive the same exceptional customer service that has led Priority Health to be ranked among the nation’s highest,” added Horn. “That is why we are a making the investment to have staff located close to our new customers.”

Priority Health serves more than 450,000 customers throughout Michigan. Its 38-county service area includes a network of 36 hospitals and 3,500 physicians.
