(GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – June 22, 2004)
On June 1, 2004 Priority Health unveiled a new identity for its corporate brand. Building on the strength of its current brand, including the color green, the new identity includes a new logo and new tag line, “Live Confidently.” The new brand was developed to reflect Priority Health’s commitment to empower providers, employer groups, and members with the confidence, understanding, support and control they need to make smarter health care decisions. The new brand also encompasses the number of product offerings Priority Health continues to develop. A few of these new products include Health Savings Accounts, Health Reimbursement Arrangement and Health by ChoiceSM - a health incentive program. "We built the brand on our core values, strengths and history to leverage what has made this company successful," Kim Horn, president and CEO said. "It communicates to the community and our customers our commitment to provide excellent value, quality and customer service.” The brand will be released throughout Michigan through print ads, business publications, sales literature, newsletters, billboards, television commercials and a redesign of the Web site, priorityhealth.com. “Priority Health has successfully provided an award-winning HMO,” remarked Jodie Southwell, vice president of sales and marketing, “but we have become much more than an HMO. Our new brand accurately reflects the number of innovative health and wellness solutions we provide our customers.” Priority Health serves over 426,000 members throughout West Michigan and is locally owned by Spectrum Health of Grand Rapids, Holland Community Hospital of Holland, Munson Healthcare of Traverse City and Healthshare, Inc. of Petoskey. The health plan enjoys “Excellent” accreditation from the National Committee for Quality Assurance, an independent organization that reviews the quality of health plans nationwide.
