A new Web tool helps patients find the right physicians, fast(GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Jan. 15, 2009) Priority Health, a nationally recognized health plan, released today a new and improved version of its award-winning Find a Doctor tool on priorityhealth.com. The tool enables patients to find specialists, hospitals, primary care providers and other services, quickly. Using search options within the tool, patients can find specific health care providers based on any one or combination of criteria including location, education, specialty, gender, language spoken and much more. "We used customer focus groups to help design a tool that would provide patients with the information they are looking for in an easy-to-use format," said Rich Lange, director of Web Experience for Priority Health. "With the new design, patients will be able to find their physician or specialist, faster than with any other resource." Priority Health began publishing primary care physician information on priorityhealth.com more than seven years ago. Since then, the online directory has been enhanced to make it easier for patients to find specialists, pharmacies, hospitals, urgent care facilities, mental health providers, chiropractors or vision care. The Find a Doctor tool is the most-visited destination on priorityhealth.com. Of the 30 million total pages viewed on priorityhealth.com in 2008, more than 4.6 million were to the Find a Doctor tool.
