Priority Health Announces Michigan Senior Impact Award Recipient
Hospice of Michigan to receive $2,500 in recognition of volunteer's exceptional service

(GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - February 6, 2007)  Priority Health today announced the Michigan Senior Impact Award recipient of the Year, June Hamersma of Grand Rapids.  In recognition of Hamersma's dedication and commitment to volunteer work, Priority Health will donate $2,500 to Hospice of Michigan to help the organization enhance its efforts in providing care to those with chronic illnesses.

"Priority health is dedicated to supporting our local communities and the organizations that work to promote wellness and healthier living to Michigan residents," said Kim Horn, president and CEO of Priority Health.  "I want to personally thank June for her outstanding efforts and her devotion to creating more opportunities at Hospice of Michigan to ensure quality care.  Her selfless service will have a great impact on those she works with and reaches out to."

Hamersma was chosen to receive the top Michigan honor after being recognized among several regional Senior Impact Award winners in November 2006.  Senior Impact Award winners were chosen based on their exceptional contributions as well as their ability to inspire and motivate others. Hamersma has volunteered more than 2,000 hours for Hospice of Michigan.  She is the founding chair of the Hospice of Michigan Foundation and continues to work to raise funds for the organization's patient services.

Priority Health developed the Senior Impact Award to discover and recognize the ways Senior Volunteers put their energy and commitment to work for the community.  Priority Health partnered with the United Way Volunteer Centers in Grand Rapids, Holland, Traverse City and Saginaw to identify and recognize eight seniors in these Michigan communities.  Each Senior Impact Award winner was chosen by representatives working within volunteer centers across Michigan.
