Trinity Health Enters Agreement to
Sell Care Choices to Priority Health
(December 21, 2006) Trinity Health today announced it has entered into an agreement to sell its Care Choices HMO, Care Choices PPO and Preferred Choices PPO health plans to Priority Health. U.S. News & World Report ranks Priority Health a top health plan (October 2006) Priority Health was once again rated as one of the nation's best health plans, moving up to 13th place from a ranking of 19th last year. Priority Health brings first phase of cost transparency to Michigan Estimated costs for common medical procedures, health services, and prescription drugs now online Medicare Options from Priority Health Offered in More Michigan Counties (October 2006) Medicare recipients in eleven northwest Michigan counties will now have a choice when considering Medicare health care coverage. Announcing Open Network for Members (August 2006) Beginning this month, Priority Health is moving to an open network model, providing members with the flexibility to receive office care from a specialist in the Priority Health network without first getting a referral from their primary care physician (PCP). Employer Coalition Rates Priority Health No. 1 (August 2006) Priority Health is the number-one rated health plan in Michigan, according to the local Alliance for Health and the National Business Coalition on Health (NBCH). Saginaw Office Opens (March 2006) Priority Health, a nationally recognized health plan based in Michigan, has opened a Saginaw office. Priority Health received state approval to expand into the greater Saginaw area in October 2005. With state approval, employers in Bay, Saginaw, Tuscola and Genesee counties now have the opportunity to choose Priority Health as their health benefits provider. Kim Horn Recognized in Top 50 Most Influential Women (March 2006) The Grand Rapids Business Journal recognizes Priority Health president Kim Horn as one of West Michigan's 50 most influential women at a luncheon commemorating Women's History Month. Priority Health Provides Broader HSA Banking Options (February 2006) Priority Health has expanded its banking options for employers that offer Health Savings Accounts (HSAs). With a greater number of participating banks, employers and employees are able to customize their HSAs by selecting a banking partner that best fits their individual needs.
