To make smart decisions about your health and your health care, you need
more than an apple a day - you need information. But there's so much health
information, where do you begin? Here are just a few easy-to-use starting
points on this website.
Tools for Making Better Choices in Health Care
Find a Doctor
Use this interactive tool to search for a doctor near your home, a pharmacy
convenient to your parents' house, a hospital, a place to rent a hospital
bed, and much more. Customize your searches by the type of health care
provider you're looking for, the distance from what city or zip code you'll
travel, whether you want to see a male or female doctor, and lots
more.
Approved Drug List
Priority Health uses a committee of local doctors and pharmacists to help
us create our formulary, which is the name for a list of drugs we cover. You
(and your doctor) can use the online formulary to look up drugs by type or
by name.
Tools for Getting to Better Health
Once you register to activate your personal account on priorityhealth.com,
you'll find your claims history, your deductibles and copayments, and much
more health information waiting for you.
Y
our Personal Health Record
Once you log in, the first thing you'll see under "Hello" is your Personal
Health Record. This is where you'll see if it might be time for a physical
exam or Pap test or other preventive care. If you have diabetes, high blood
pressure, asthma or heart disease, you'll also see what kinds of care for
those conditions might be due.
Health and Wellness Information
This part of priorityhealth.com is powered by WebMD - and we do mean
"POWERED." It begins with a Health Encyclopedia, so you can look up
medications and conditions and other health terms. In the Condition Centers
there's information about causes, symptoms and latest treatments, and
trackers - interactive tools that will track your progress getting fit or
quitting smoking, for example. Explore!
HealthQuotientSM Health Risk Assessment
Take the most complete survey of your health you've probably ever seen.
HealthQuotient, developed by the experts at WebMD, will tell you how you
score compared to others of your age and gender, identify your high-risk
areas, even show you how your score would change if you lost weight, started
exercising, or made other healthy choices.
