Priority Health's nationally-recognized HealthyEncounters Asthma Program
is improving care for nearly 20,000 asthma patients in Michigan.
Mary Cooley, manager, Case and Disease Management for Priority Health, was featured in an interview with Shelley Irwin, producer/anchor of WGVU Radio. In the interview, Cooley discusses the resources and services Priority Health offers its asthma patients to help them control their chronic condition. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency recently awarded Priority Health with the National Exemplary Award and the National Environmental Leadership Award in Asthma Management for its overwhelming achievements in reducing emergency room visits by 26 percent, medical costs by $1.7 million and the risks associated with asthma.
