Priority Health Continues to Win National Awards for Excellence

Priority Health continues to attract national attention and honors for its programs and services. The most recent awards, outlined below, attest to our strong provider relationships and outstanding programs that result in the highest-quality service and care for our members.

Programs Recognized

In May, Priority Health's Physician Incentive Program (PIP) and Pay for Performance (PFP) were awarded one of two Driving Value in Health Care Awards presented by The Leapfrog Group, The National Business Coalition on Health and Bridges to Excellence. The award was given for incentive and reward programs aimed at improving the value of health care.

Since 1997, our PIP has rewarded primary care providers (PCPs) for superior performance, clinical quality and patient satisfaction. The program measures outcomes by physician organization and provides financial rewards based on the efficient use of health care resources and savings achieved through improved performance.

EPA Award for Asthma Management Program

In March, Priority Health was awarded the National Exemplary Award by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for our achievements in creating healthier living through our HealthyEncountersSM asthma program. Priority Health received this recognition for our leadership in providing asthma education and awareness and improving the quality of life for more than 8,000 Michigan residents with asthma.

Priority Health's asthma program provides members with case management services, educational materials and community resources that help promote evidence-based care and prevent risks associated with asthma. Priority Health supports its providers with education and incentives to provide quality asthma care.
