Healthy Children Start With You

Children need to see a doctor even when they are well! Before your child gets sick, see the doctor. Children (especially those under age two) need lots of check ups. At least once each year you should make an appointment for your child to see his or her doctor. This visit is important. Your child's doctor will use the time to get to know him or her when your child is healthy.

Your child's doctor will check for many things, including:

  • Checking to see if your child is growing
  • Checking to see if your child is eating right
  • Giving immunizations (shots)

Check-ups help keep your child well!
