Q: What if I can't wait 7 to 14 days to start taking my prescription?
Ask your doctor/prescriber for two prescriptions: a 30-day supply and a 90-day supply with three refills. Take the 30-day supply prescription to your local pharmacy, and order the 90-day supply prescription from Express Scripts.
Q: Can I order any prescription from home delivery?
Most medications can be ordered via mail service, but there are exceptions, such as "specialty" medications, which are typically those that are injected and used to treat rare conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, Hepatitis and certain cancers, should be
ordered by your doctor from the specialty pharmacy.
Q: How can I check the status of my order?
There are two ways to check the status of your order.
- Log in to your account at express-scripts.com. If it's your first visit to express-scripts.com, you'll need to create an account first. Once you're logged in, subscribe to notifications from Express Scripts. Then you'll receive a notification when your order is received and another when it's shipped. You can choose your preference:
- Email
- Automated phone message
- No notification
- Call 888 378-2589
If you don't receive your order within 10 business days from the time it was placed, contact Express Scripts.
Q: How do I order a refill?
Verify the refill date, which is on the refill order form that arrived with your medications. You can order refills in several ways:
- Online: Log in to your account on express-scripts.com
- By mail: Send in the Refill Order Form that was included with your last order.
- By phone: Call Express Scripts toll-free at 888-378-2589
Q: What is "auto refill", and how do I sign up for it?
Auto refill is a program that lets Express Scripts automatically send refills to your home when they're due.
You can enroll in the auto refill program in one of three ways:
- Log in to express-scripts.com and click on the "Set-up Auto Refills" link. You can select "No" on any prescription if you don't want it included in auto refills.
- When Express Scripts calls you about your refills, the automated message will ask you to enroll in auto refill. If you choose "yes", your prescription will be set up to mail refills to you automatically.
Q: What happens when my prescription expires, or there are no more refills?
Express Scripts will try to contact your doctor's office to ask if your prescription should be renewed. If your doctor or other health care provider cannot be reached, Express Scripts will call or write you to let you know that your prescription has no refills remaining. You'll need to contact your doctor to ask for a new prescription.
