Kids need a lead poisoning test at 12 and 24 months
High levels of lead in a child can cause learning disabilities or behavior problems. Lead often comes from paint in older homes. When old paint cracks and peels, it makes dangerous dust. Children who crawl or are learning to walk may pick up the dust on their hands and then put their hands in their mouth.
Lead has also been found in cartoon drinking glasses, children’s jewelry and some toys. A lead poisoning test is important to your child’s health. The test is a quick and simple finger poke. Get your child tested at 12 and 24 months old.
