When you are very overweight, you need expert help. Priority Health, working with physicians and hospitals, has identified the following programs as Weight Loss Centers of Excellence for their dedication to their patients and their success rates.
At these centers you'll work with counselors who focus on your needs and who are committed to your success. More than providing a one-time education, they follow up with patients, helping them achieve their weight-loss goals.
Referrals to weight-loss centers
We encourage you to talk with your primary care doctor or other primary care provider before beginning any weight-loss program. If your Priority Health plan requires you to have a primary care physician (PCP), your PCP will submit information to Priority Health for approval before you begin either a medical or surgical program.
Interested in bariatric surgery?
In most cases, you must complete a medically supervised weight-loss program before being considered for surgery.
