Holland Cheer Heart Failure Support Group
For individuals who have heart muscle that doesn't work as well as it used to, often leading to what is called "heart failure." Monthly topics address ideas for better control of heart failure, such as a low-sodium diet, exercise, medications, symptom recognition, and more. Metropolitan Hospital offers a heart rehabilitation program that begins with an individual evaluation. Participants are encouraged to choose a partner throughout rehab and will enjoy an individualized program of exercises. There is no fee for being a partner to a participant. Educational videos and classes are available on nutrition and on cholesterol and lipid levels. Social workers offer classes in stress management. Support groups are available.

This program provides free individualized educational sessions that can help clients manage their heart failure.
