Imaging & radiology services
What type of imaging or radiology services do you need costs for?
CAT scan
CAT scans use X-rays and computers to produce an image of a cross-section of the body. The three-dimensional images that the scan produces are used to diagnosis many different disease entities.
MRI
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment uses a magnetic field and pulses of radio wave energy to make pictures of organs and structures inside the body. In many cases, MRI images show information that cannot be seen on an X-ray, ultrasound, or computed tomography (CT) scan.
Ultrasound
Ultrasound machines use reflected sound waves to produce an image of organs and other structures in the body without X-rays or other types of possibly harmful radiation. Ultrasound images are most useful for looking at organs and structures that are either uniform and solid or fluid-filled.
X-ray
X-rays, like light or radio waves, can be focused into a beam much like a flashlight beam. Unlike a beam of light, however, X-rays can pass through most objects, including the human body. When X-rays strike a piece of photographic film they can produce a picture of the part of the body they've passed through.
