About the costs shown

  • The costs provided in this Common Costs section of the Priority Health website are only estimates and may or may not represent your actual costs. Treatments and therefore costs for an individual person may vary based on the intensity of the condition, the complexity of treating the condition, individual physician practices and physician rates.
  • The costs shown are based on claims sent to Priority Health from doctors, hospitals and other health care providers over the last 18 months.
  • Costs are not included for Medicare or Medicaid members.
  • Costs are not included when another payer such as Blue Cross is the first payer.
  • Estimates for specific health conditions, such as diabetes, are calculated using Cave Grouper™ software (Learn more at the Cave Consulting Group website). This software organizes claims data by health condition and bundles all costs including doctors, surgeons, x-rays, lab tests, hospital fees and prescription drugs.
The calculations contained on this screen are based on Priority Health's proprietary database of claims information and other assumptions and inputs. Priority Health makes no warranty, either expressed or implied, about the accuracy of results for any individual.
