Order prescriptions by mail

Save money on the medications you take every day

If you're on a daily medication, then using our mail service pharmacy will probably save you money.
  • For most meds, Walgreens Mail Service will not charge three copayments for every 90-day (3-month) supply you receive. Depending on your plan, you'll pay 2 or 2.5 copayments, and save trips to the store, too.
  • Shipping is free!

Send in one prescription a year

  • For most medications, just send in your doctor's prescription form for a one-year supply (a 90-day supply with 3 refills). Walgreens Mail Service will ship you a 90-day supply and a form for requesting your refills. Or, set up an online account (see below) and when it's time for a refill, you sign in and click a button.
  • Some drugs are not available through the mail service pharmacy. See below.
  • Get your first order in 14 days. Refills arrive in 7-10 days if you order online or by phone.

Refills are easy

  • After you receive your first order, life's even easier. Just go online or call to order your next 3-month supply.
  • Have the prescription label with you when you order refills, because you'll need the numbers on it.

Note: Some drugs are not available by mail

Although the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approves the use of generic drugs as safe, effective, and cost-effective, the Florida State Board of Pharmacy has established a "negative formulary," a list of drugs for which generics cannot be substituted.

The Walgreens Mail Service pharmacy is located in Florida, so they cannot provide generic substitutes for any of these drugs:
  1. Digitoxin
  2. Conjugated estrogen
    Premarin (cream/tablets), Prempro
  3. Dicumarol
  4. Chlorpromazine tabs & caps
    Thorazine tabs or spansules
  5. Theophylline (controlled release)
    Theo-dur, Slo-bid Slophyllin, Quibron T/SR, Uniphyl
  6. Pancrelipase (oral forms)
Pancrease, Ultrase, Cotazym, Viokase, Ku-Zyme, Lipram
Note that, due to FDA regulations, Accutane (isotretinoin) cannot be obtained from Walgreens Mail Service.
