How it works
Once you have enrolled in the PriorityMedicare RxSM plan for 2008, Medicare will tell us how much assistance you are receiving, and we will send you information on the amount you will pay. Your Medicare Part D drug plan premium may be reduced by 25%, 50%, 75% or 100%. You will still be responsible for paying any Medicare Part B premium.
You automatically qualify for additional assistance (lower premiums) if you are eligible for:
- Medicaid
- Supplemental Security Income (SSI), or
- A Medicare Savings Program
If you automatically qualify for this extra help paying for prescription drugs, you do not have to apply. You may receive (or may have received) a letter from Medicare or the Social Security Administration (SSA) about your eligibility for extra help in 2008. Read this important information carefully.
