How your HRA works
Your employer funds an HRA to help pay for your family's health care costs. The HRA sends payments directly to your doctors, hospitals, etc.
There is a limit to what the HRA will pay for any one family member. After that limit is reached, you pay 100% of that individual's health care costs until he or she reaches the health plan's individual and/or family deductible.
Once all your family's HRA money is spent, you pay 100% of all health care costs for your family until you reach your health plan's family deductible.
After that you pay only copayments/coinsurance for covered services, and Priority Health pays the rest.
