How your HRA works

  1. Your employer funds an HRA to help pay for your family's health care costs. The HRA sends payments directly to your doctors, hospitals, etc.
  2. There is a limit to what the HRA will pay for any one family member. After that limit is reached, you pay 100% of that individual's health care costs until he or she reaches the health plan's individual and/or family deductible.
  3. Once all your family's HRA money is spent, you pay 100% of all health care costs for your family until you reach your health plan's family deductible.
  4. After that you pay only copayments/coinsurance for covered services, and Priority Health pays the rest.
