An
individual deductible is the amount you pay for services for any one individual on your policy before plan benefits start. See your coverage documents for details.
- Only certain services covered by your policy apply to the deductible.
- This deductible must be met each plan year.
- Most Priority Health plans pay 100% for preventive care services such as physicals whether you have met your deductible or not.
- The individual deductible does not apply if you are enrolled in a PriorityHSASM plan with a Health Savings Account and you have more than one person on your policy.
Example: Say your plan's individual deductible is $1,500. Every individual person on your health plan contract must pay the first $1,500 of the cost of medical expenses covered by your plan before your plan starts to pay. This amount may be less if you have a family deductible of $3,000 and collectively you meet that deductible.
