What is a spirometry?
Spirometry is a device that is used to measure the amount of air a person's lungs can move in and out and at what rate. The person places his mouth on the mouthpiece of a long flexible tube that is attached to a recording device. This test is done in a doctor's office or hospital and is not painful.
