What is a hysterectomy?
Hysterectomy is the surgical removal of the uterus. It is done to treat gynecological conditions: birth complications, cancer or fibroids, endometriosis, or uterine bleeding that hasn't responded to other treatments. An abdominal hyst is removal through a large incision made in the lower abdomen.
