Tobacco Cessation
The Priority Health HealthyEncountersSM - Tobacco Cessation Program is free to all eligible members. When you sign up, we will send you educational materials, make referrals and offer support to help you quit for good.

Talk with a nurse case manager
If you need extra help - perhaps because you are dealing with additional health risks - a case manager will:
  • Send you educational materials
  • Work with your doctor if necessary
  • Answer questions and offer support

Covered drugs to help you quit

If you have prescription drug coverage, Priority Health covers the prescription drug Chantix and generic nicotine replacement therapies (NRTs) for up to 12 weeks to help you stop smoking. Generic NRTs include patches, inhalers and nasal sprays. After three months, you'll need an authorization from Priority Health to continue with these products. Interactive tools

As a Priority Health member, you have access to more information online when you're logged in to your personal account. In addition to your claims history and benefits, you can use:
  • The 10-step Stop Smoking program by WebMD.  This online program gives you the information and encouragement you'll need, step by step, to be able to quit.
    Go to the Stop Smoking tool now. (You must be logged in.)
  • The HealthQuotient® health risk assessment, which you fill out to get a free, completely private report of your health risks and what you can do to change them.
    Take the HealthQuotient risk assessment questionnaire now. (You must be logged in.)
  • Your Personal Health Record, which lists checkups and screenings you might need.
