Better Breathers Support Groups

Meet others who share pulmonary diseases, learn about medications, helpful breathing techniques and ways to improve your life.
  • Grand Rapids: Sessions are the second Monday of each month May through October from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Priority Health Conference Center. There is no cost.

Munson Medical Center in Traverse City offers the Better Breathing educational series. This is an eight-week ongoing series designed for persons with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). The most common types of COPD are: emphysema, chronic bronchitis and asthma. Topics include: lung disease, living with chronic illness, medication, exercise, nutrition, stress reduction and relaxation techniques. Classes are also offered in Cadillac, Frankfort, Grayling and Kalkaska.
