Biometric screenings

Take one step toward getting a healthier workforce while getting a "snapshot" of your group's overall health with our on-site biometric screenings. Each screening takes just 15 minutes per employee and evaluates several areas, including blood pressure, cholesterol, height and weight. Plus we're available for on-site screenings 24 hours a day, seven days a week, anywhere your employees are.

Simple, comprehensive screenings

A 15-minute on-site screening includes:
  • Cardiac risk profile - a simple prick to the finger provides the blood sample
    • Fasting test (recommended) provides total cholesterol, LDL "bad" cholesterol, HDL "good" cholesterol, total cholesterol ratio, triglycerides and glucose counts
    • Non-fasting test provides total cholesterol, HDL "good" cholesterol, total cholesterol ratio and glucose counts
  • Height, weight and body mass index (BMI)
  • Blood pressure measurements
  • On-site review of results with each participant immediately after the screening
  • A copy of test results to each employee (which they can use to complete the online HealthQuotient self-assessment)
  • Additional screening options to meet your specific needs

Accurate, clinical-quality testing

We make sure test results are accurate and reliable by:
  • Using cholesterol machines certified by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention Cholesterol Reference Method Laboratory Network (the "gold standard" for finger-stick testing machines)
  • Checking each machine thoroughly before every screening
  • Employing expertly trained and experienced staff (nurses and health educators, each with a bachelor's degree and comprehensive training in blood pressure measurement, cholesterol testing and counseling)

Insightful, actionable reports

If 30 more more employees complete a screening, you receive an aggregate report that:
  • Compares the results of your employees to national statistics
  • Shows how many employees are in healthy and high-risk categories
  • Provides recommendations for improving overall employee health
  • Establishes a first-year benchmark
  • Presents a fact-based starting point for launching a targeted, high-impact wellness program

If you continue annual screenings for at least two years, your report:
  • Shows how many employees have improved, maintained or worsened their health risks
  • Provides information on the estimated costs associated with high cholesterol, elevated BMI, high blood pressure and tobacco use
  • Calculates the estimated cost savings when biometric screening results have improved
