Employees turning 65? Seamless conversion makes it easy to ease into Priority Health Medicare

We're making life easier for you and your employees. We'll soon be able to easily switch your employees to an individual Priority Health Medicare plan once they're eligible for Medicare. Members may qualify for seamless conversion if they're:

  • Turning 65 and retiring
  • Disabled and no longer eligible for group coverage
  • A COBRA member turning 65

All we need is their Medicare claim number (found on the red, white and blue card they get when they enroll in Medicare). At this time, we’re only offering this to groups that don’t offer retiree benefit plans.

Starting a few months before their 65th birthday, we'll send your employees a letter and enclose a benefits overview. A week or two later, if we haven't heard from them, we'll follow up with a phone call to confirm that they received the letter and ask if they are ready to switch to a Priority Health Medicare plan.

Two ways your employees can switch:

  • Complete the easy form we provide and return it in the envelope we enclose.
  • Call Customer Service toll free at 888 389-6648 - select option 3. (TTY users should call 711), 7 days a week from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.

If employees still haven't switched or opted out and it's less than 60 days before their 65th birthday, we'll send them another letter with information about how to change plans. Employees may come to you with questions or other coverage options if they opt out or are outside our service area – feel free to send them to our website or have them call the number above. Our customer service reps are happy to help answer any questions.
