Employers that offer prescription drug coverage have the legal obligation to inform their Medicare beneficiaries whether the prescription drug coverage they offer is as good as Medicare Part D coverage (“creditable” coverage) or not as good as Medicare Part D coverage (“non-creditable” coverage). This information must come in the form of a Creditable or Non-Creditable Coverage Notice with specific timing and content requirements.
As a service to you, Priority Health will undertake the required November 15, 2009, Creditable Coverage Disclosure Notice mailings for self-funded clients that purchase our prescription drug benefits. If you have any questions, please contact your account manager.
