Priority POS Insurance Plan

Our Michigan point-of-service (POS) health insurance plan, PriorityPOSSM, offers more flexibility than HMO coverage through two levels of medical benefits. When members get health care through their primary care physician (PCP) and other health care providers in our network, they stay at the money-saving Preferred Benefits level. Or they can choose to go to out-of-network doctors, labs and hospitals using the Alternate Benefits level.

Preferred Benefits Features
There are no claim forms. We take care of all paperwork.
Copays are low. Some plans may also include a deductible.
Go to any health care provider in the network without a referral from the primary care doctor.
Choose from a network of over 12,000 doctors and other health care providers.
The network includes 125 hospitals.
Members and their dependents can each choose different PCPs. (For example, a woman might choose an OB/GYN who participates as a PCP; parents might choose a pediatrician as their child's PCP.)
Members can change PCPs at any time. The change is effective the first of the following month.
Members can fill prescriptions at any pharmacy in our nationwide network for the normal copay.
Members may get out-of-network medical services under the Alternate Benefits level, then return to Preferred Benefits at any time by working with their PCP and our network.
Some services, such as surgeries, require prior approval from Priority Health.
