Kimberly Horn

Kimberly Horn is president and chief executive officer (CEO) at Priority Health. She is a past president of the Michigan Association of Health Plans (MAHP). Kim is actively involved in the community, serving as a director on the boards of the Bank of Holland and Davenport University and on the Dean's Advisory Board for the Grand Valley State University Seidman College of Business.

Work experience
Horn has more than 20 years' experience in executive positions developing and operating provider-sponsored managed care organizations. Since joining Priority Health in 1997 as president and Chief Executive Officer, the company’s customer base has grown from just over 120,000 to more than 600,000, and annual revenues exceed $2 billion.
Horn came to Priority Health from Mercy Health Plan (Care Choices and Preferred Choices), the insurance subsidiary of Mercy Health Services in Farmington Hills, Michigan. At Mercy Health Plan, she was chief operating officer and prior to that, chief financial officer. She was with the southeast Michigan-based insurer from 1988 through 1996.
Before her move to Mercy Health Plan, Horn was vice president of finance administration at Health Plan of Mid America, an HMO owned by Research Medical Center of Kansas City, Missouri.
A native of Flint, Michigan, Horn held various positions at Genesee Memorial Hospital. She left there as assistant administrator to assume responsibilities as controller and business affairs director at Physicians Health Plan in Lansing, Michigan, an HMO managed by United Health Care of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Community involvement
Horn serves on the board and executive committee of the Michigan Association of Health Plans, which represents 25 health plans and more than 2.4 million health care consumers throughout Michigan.
She is actively involved in the community and serves as a director on various boards, including the Dean's Advisory Board for the Grand Valley State University Seidman College of Business, the Bank of Holland and Davenport University.

Horn is a 2006 recipient of the Michigan Women’s Foundation Women of Achievement and Courage Award. Honorees are female role models who exemplify career success and dynamic leadership and lead the way for the next generation. She was the 2004 recipient of the Ellis J. Bonner Outstanding Achievement Award. Awarded by the Michigan Association of Health Plans, it recognizes those individuals who have made a significant impact on health care in Michigan and demonstrate exemplary service and leadership. In March 2003 and again in 2006, the Grand Rapids Business Journal recognized Horn as one of the most 50 influential women in West Michigan. She was also the 2002 recipient of the TRIBUTE! Award, an annual award given by the YWCA, for women who exhibit superior ability and accomplishment in their chosen profession.
