Priority Health earns Pillar Award
(March 16, 2011)
Priority Health was recognized by the Women's Resource Center with its 2011 Pillar Award at a luncheon in Grand Rapids on March 16.
Established in 1987, the Pillar Awards celebrate local employers who empower women at work and, in doing so, set a standard for the rest of the Grand Rapids business community.
In presenting Priority Health with this honor, the Women's Resource Center noted: "They do a fantastic job utilizing technology to allow employees flexibility in work schedules and location ... Overall employee turnover has gone from 19% to 8% annually, and in three years average tenure is up nearly three years to 6.2 years."
Accepting the award for Priority Health, President and CEO Kim Horn said:
"We at Priority Health renew our commitment to providing all people with access to excellent and affordable health care. Statistics prove that women shoulder the primary responsibility for making decisions about their families' health. We will remain diligent in providing innovative products and services that make accessing that care just a little easier."
This marks the second time that Priority Health has been recognized with the Pillar Award. We were recognized in 2001 as well.
